Lil Miss A and I picked about 22 pounds of strawberries this morning. Most of them are in the freezer, though we ate plenty, and shared them with the neighbors.
I thought my dad and I did a good job picking 13 pounds a few days ago! Boy, I'm tempted to go back to the farm and get some for a berry pie. I put up cooked jam, freezer jam, and froze smashed berries for smoothies. Don't you just love the taste of the smaller June berries that are red all the way through (instead of those pithy large ones from Sprawlmart).
I thought Word Verification would be enough to discourage spammers, but evidently not. So I'm turning on Comment Moderation for awhile to see if that helps. Please don't be deterred from leaving real comments. I love them!
