Attention: Iowa is NOT BORING!

Two people within the past couple of days have found my blog by searching "Iowa boring". Well, this message is for the next person to do that search: Iowa is NOT boring. We moved here from Southern California because things were a bit too interesting there.

Besides, as I always tell my children, intelligent people don't get bored. Intelligent people use their minds to find something interesting to do.

Hey, I for one, do not think Iowa is boring. At least not the part of it that I saw. Quiet and peaceful, yes. Boring, no. I must admit that I have encountered this stereotype a LOT, though. I'm not sure why people assume a slower pace is automatically less interesting...

This cracked me up! The nerve of some people. They need to try looking in a mirror if they want to see boring ;)

Iowa is definitely not the center of the entertainment universe, but we find other ways to have fun. Rural and small town Iowa is no different from rural areas in any other state. On the offensive, I believe the most unpopulated states are Wyoming, Montana, and the Dakota's. They should be more associated with the term boring. Check out my photoblog Epic Status for photos of how I spend my free time and you'll see.
