From Rural Revolution: How to Move to the Country

I just started following Patrice's Rural Revolution blog. I do not agree with many of her opinions, but I agree with quite a bit too, and am enjoying the information I'm gleaning.

Today she published a piece on How to Move to the Country. I recommend it.

Some good points in this article, but there is so much more that wasn't mentioned.

And I see you fixed that deficit, Michael. :)

Well, I started. There is no way to put it all into words into one post, is there? It's a whole change of thinking...you don't just change the way you live, you have to change the way that you think. I think that would be the most difficult hurdle of them all. It isn't easy to change ourselves.

I read this link .. and I truly think that moving to a slower paced life from the city is a great thing. But if you are of the gumption that you want to live off grid after being raised in the city .. well .. some of that thinking is just pure romantic or unrational. Why is it that you think our grandparents moved to town? (LOL)
