It's lilac time again!

And so soon! What's going on? It's still April.

We did have a pretty good frost last night, but down here in the valley I think we were mostly okay; whether the apple farmers on the ridges fared so well, I have not yet heard.

Okay, Beckham, one sniff, and then you need to get off the table, bad cat.

I'm jealous! Lilacs won't grow in NC. I think the humidity is too overwhelming for them. I've tried a couple of times but never had any luck. I'll have to live vicariously through you!

Our lilac season is already over. They are extremely difficult to get started, unless you get a hybrid. They seem to survive the unbearable Missouri humidity pretty well, though. There's nothing like the smell of fresh lilacs!

You are at least a moth ahead of me, both with your rhubarb and lilacs.
Nice to greet them at your place and thus enjoy them twice.
