Fresh rhubarb, April 2010

The rhubarb is going crazy this year. It got an early start and has been very happy with the weather. (Catherine, do you recognize the apron? I bought it from you!)

I woke up in a cranky, self-pitying mood this morning, but when I stepped outside to pick the rhubarb, the air in town was scented with lilacs. How could I stay in a rotten attitude with all the lilacs in town working against it?

That`s a nice picture with the basket, apron and rhubarb. Yep, I recognize the apron. I love red aprons!

I agree, the fragrance of lilacs is wonderful. My lilac bushes didn`t produce well this year. I only cut enough for one small vase. Very disappointing. I`m glad you have many to enjoy.

Wonderful! I'm still waiting on our rhubarb. We've had a bit of a cold spell here in PA and it's still not big enough to pick.

I only have one rhubarb plant that I bought on a whim last year. I don't know what to do with it, so I just let it keep growing!
