I (and bazillions of other geeks) was extremely skeptical of the Fox remake of The Day the Earth Stood Still. But this preview (aired during the rewind of The Fringe) has sold me. Keanu doesn't HAVE to act in this one. He's already an alien.
I am just looking at it as an entirely different encounter-type story. There is no match to the original.
