Muffins with Mom

This morning I was invited to the first annual "Muffins with Mom" over at the elementary school as Little Miss A's guest. Turns out it was more than muffins, it was a full light breakfast of muffins, fruit, juice and coffee. Just wonderful. It was very well attended. Moms, grandmas, aunts and other significant female figures in the children's lives were all invited.

As I looked around the room, I realized once again that I was the oldest mom in the room. Sure, there were lots of grey heads, but they were all grandmas. Heh.

Well, you might have been the oldest, but I bet you were also the coolest. :)

Can I introduce you to my friend that visits every 6 weeks? Her name is Loreal Excellence Dark Reddish Blond!

Erin, absolutely I am the coolest person in ANY gathering.

Anna, LOL... I used to do that but gave it up over the course of one horribly traumatic year. I dare not go back after all the crowing I did about how great it feels to go natural and all the money I was saving.

BTDT, both ways. My youngest is 15 years younger than my oldest. Once, when it was time to pay for his new glasses, oldest, standing there holding his baby sister, told the clerk, 'My Mom will write you a check.' Now, I have been mistaken for her grandmother. The joke there, however, is that DH was mistaken for her grandfather at the hospital when she was born! We weren't the oldest parents when she was a teen, though. Parents of one of her friends were about 8 yeard older and had a grandchild when she was born.
