I don't want to be the treasurer anymore, that's what it comes down to. I am going to tell them tonight that they need to start looking for someone to take over. I have done nearly 5 years of this and the books are in much better shape than they were when I started. It's not an easy job, and it takes a lot of time. I will need all the time I can find to be making lines when Barry's job ends.
*sigh*
P.S. My stomach hurts.

Sorry to hear your stomach hurts and that Barry's job will end. Being a treasurer is not an easy job. Five years is a long time (I assume unpaid?). Our HOA books that I just took over are a complete mess. Had I known that I would not have volunteered ... so we're hiring an accounting firm to take care of the nitty gritty stuff.
Hugs,
WV = jamping ... I can tell you're not jamping for joy over this.
If you've been doing this for 5 years, you've served your church family well. Now it's time for you to really take care of your nuclear family.
I think we're "shampooing the same dog" with the work thing; I've been working mostly 35-hour weeks but am ramping up to 40 starting with this one and being grateful that I have a job and my hours aren't getting cut and any other bad economy cliche you can think of.
WV= tucksly. That was a tucksly thing to say.
